Generalized Boltzmann equations for describing the approach to thermal equilibrium and to a steady state of a system of Bioch elec-trons interacting with a group of randomly distributed impurities are derived by means of the density operator technique. It is shown that in the limit of long times and weak interactions, the familiar classical Boltzmann equations are recovered without the help of either the assumption
