An Analysis and Description Model for Virtual Object in Virtual Reality Author: Dar-Chin Rau, Chien-Yun Dai, Min-Huang Ho, S. W. Chen(Department of Industrial Education , National Taiwan Normal University)

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the properties of virtual objects in virtual reality and proposes a method for description of virtual objects. This method will assist virtual world builders to solve the problem of the dull performance of the virtual reality software, and to make virtual objects more realistic in virtual world by way of defining the models and adding intelligent parameters.
The Virtual Object Modeling Method (VOMM) was developed to describe the in-teraction among the virtual objects. Thus, the virtual environment will be more realistic in application packages.
