[Call for Papers] Special Issue: “New Southbound Education: Cross-National Dialogue on Educational Research and Practice between Taiwan and Vietnam” (From now until September 30, 2026)




  With the continued rise of educational globalization and cross-national collaboration, interactions between Taiwan and Vietnam have steadily increased across research exchange, curriculum development, teaching practice, and talent cultivation. This special issue, titled “New Southbound Education: Cross-National Dialogue on Educational Research and Practice between Taiwan and Vietnam” aims to encourage joint submissions by scholars from both countries through collaborative research, shared perspectives, or co-authored findings.
  Submission topics are not limited to Taiwan–Vietnam comparative education; however, all manuscripts must be co-authored by scholars from Taiwan and Vietnam or demonstrate clear cross-cultural collaboration, in line with the purpose of this special issue. We welcome studies using diverse methodologies, varied educational contexts, and interdisciplinary approaches. Through joint exploration of educational philosophies, practices, and policies, this issue seeks to deepen and expand research collaboration between the two countries.
  Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: educational policy, curriculum and instructional innovation, teacher education and professional development, child and family science, psychology and health promotion, physical education and sport science, educational technology and AI applications, international educational cooperation, school administration, and community development. This special issue aspires to strengthen academic connections and expand new horizons in cross-cultural educational research, jointly exploring the value and possibilities of educational development in the context of globalization.

Publication Fee
  • This journal does not charge any submission fee. However, once a manuscript has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication, the corresponding author is required to pay the publication fee as follows:
Authors in Taiwan: NT$3,000 (payable at convenience stores in Taiwan)
Authors outside Taiwan: US$100 (payable via international bank transfer)
